BCPL Staff Out and About

Originally begun when Baltimore County Public Library staff toured libraries in Singapore & Hong Kong in February 2006 with the Urban Libraries Council. Now expanded to include any conference or workshop for which a staffer wants to blog the experience.

Our hotel

Here are some views of the hotel.

The hotel is wonderful, especially since Mollie and I paid the extra $5 for an executive room. This means that we got welcome chocolates, complimentary bottles of water, slippers, robes, free breakfast, and someone comes in to turn down our sheets each night and give us a fancy paper with a note of wisdom on it. We feel very cosmopolitan lounging in our robes on our duvet bed covers. :-)

The darker picture is the water garden under the escalator in the hotel lobby. The floor is some kind of marbled brown tile. Many places, including shops have some kind of waterfall or water garden in them. You may have noticed the waterfall in the picture I posted of one of the libraries we visited.
